Resilience Roadshow

Our 90-minute training program is designed to help civic, social service, and faith-based organizations, libraries, non-teaching school staff, businesses, and other community groups and individuals in Hampshire County better understand the impact of trauma and how to build a more welcoming and resilient community.

This program will provide you with practical tools and strategies to help you create a more supportive and inclusive environment for everyone. In addition, you’ll learn about the latest research on trauma and resilience, and how we can all play a role in creating a more responsive and trauma-informed community. We hope you’ll join us on this journey to building a more resilient Hampshire County! Contact us today to request a training for your organization or to learn more about upcoming trainings you can attend.

Resilience Roadshow Trainings

We offer a free 1.5 hour training designed to help organizations, groups, and businesses become more trauma-informed and to take care of themselves as caregivers too. We’ll cover what it means to be trauma-informed, how to build resilience in ourselves and our communities, and how to support each other in times of crisis. The training includes a solid grounding in the Adverse Childhood Experiences Survey (ACEs). Offered on zoom or in person by experienced facilitators.

We also have a free parent/caregiver training that is a 2-hour interactive program with skilled facilitators, focusing on supporting families in challenging times. The program is for caregivers of children of any age, with or without a history of trauma. Available in English or Spanish.

Monthly Network Meetings

These meetings provide a space for us to come together and share information and ideas related to trauma-informed care. We tend to alternate between educational/learning sessions, and programmatic/business meetings Whether you’re new to the field or have years of experience, you’ll be sure to find value in these gatherings and enjoy the networking too. Examples of our programs include a showing of the film The Wisdom of Trauma, and a presentation by staff at the newly formed MA Child Trauma Training Center. We meet on the second Thursday of the month from 1-2:30 pm on zoom. Get on our email list to stay up to date.

Regional Conference Gathering

The Regional Conference Gathering is an event that brings together professionals and lay people alike, who are passionate about creating a trauma informed, sensitive and responsive community. This roughly tri-annual gathering provides attendees with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, network with others, and gain a better understanding of the latest best thinking around trauma-informed care.
